Why we think Delhi capitals has a winning chance

Are only days now before the Indian Premier League or IPL for short starts. The IPL live date is set to March 23rd and many fans in India, as well as all over the world will get to enjoy watching the games in the many stunning stadiums or just by watching the IPL 2019 online. The twelfth season of this league is set to be the best one yet. There should be many exciting games and playoff contenders since the current champions the Chennai Super Kings are facing a lot of skepticism for their aging roster.

One of the teams that will struggle to challenge the title that the CSK are currently holding is the Delhi Capitals. Their stadium, Feroz Shah Kotla Ground is sure to full of excited fans looking and cheering their favorite team. The team formed in 2008 has seen several changes throughout the years.

The biggest surely being its name change. They were founded as the Delhi Dare Devils, but that name didn’t bring them much success or even any glory. With their new name, they are set to try to experience the IPL finals for the first time. Their fans are excited to see if the team can end up in the playoffs for the first time since 2012.

To go along with the new name, they have also changed their logo and jersey. The logo sports to battle-ready tigers. We will see if the players will emulate the fighting spirits of their new logo. The jersey is now a bring blue, sure to stand out on the field. The color of the jersey and the new logo make a wonderful visual combination that will bring their fans dreams of new, glorious times.

They didn’t have the best of seasons last year. The finished at the bottom of the league with five wins and nine losses. Both players and fans will surely try to forget as much as that season as possible.

But don’t let the last season fool you, the team as both skill and potential. One of the stars of the team and fan favorite is Indian international Shikhar Dhawan. If he regains his former form, which got him recalled to the national team the Delhi Capitals might improve significantly. But the rest of the squad is also well balanced. It features the likes of record holder Amit Mishra, Chris Morris, Sheryas Iyer and Prithvi Shaw.

The team might not be the first name when you predict the champion but if a few things go their way, their fans could be celebrating by the end of the season.
